When a person’s heart stops beating (cardiac arrest), a rapid response to try and restart their heart is of the utmost importance. In this course, which can be designed for treating adults or children, the student will learn to recognise a cardiac arrest and how to apply essential life-saving skills.

 

Introduction to Emergency Care

Duration: 6 hours (50% practical, 50% theory)
Certificate valid for 1 year

Because of professional or family time constraints, many people are unable to attend a 2 or 3 day first aid course. This course covers the essential life saving techniques and basic everyday emergencies, enabling the student to make a rapid and effective response.

 

First Aid for Kids

Duration: 6 hours (50% practical, 50% theory)
Certificate valid for 1 year

This course is designed to cater for Moms, Dads, maids, crèche and primary school teachers, and anyone involved with the day to day care of babies and small children. It covers the essential life saving techniques and the special care needed when dealing with emergencies involving the little people.
