First Aid Level 3:
Advanced Emergency Care

Duration: 32 hours (50% practical, 50% theory)
Certificate valid for 3 years

It is advisable, but not essential, to have completed a basic first aid course prior to doing this course. This course includes all subjects covered in Levels 1 and 2 and more.

In addition to the skills acquired from Basic (level 1) Emergency Care, students on the advanced course will learn more in depth skills of emergency scene management, particularly in cases of multiple casualties, spinal injuries and emergency childbirth. With this qualification, students may consider assisting the Emergency Services in a voluntary capacity.
